PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I was raised Lutheran. I believe in God. On June 13, 2000 I stopped attending church, it seemed important at the time that I not choose any one religion. A 22 year trip down the rabbit hole and I’ve come full circle. This is my message. You don’t have to take the journey to hell and back. I’ve done it for you. Let me share what I’ve learned.

Let go of ego. When it gets in front of you your road becomes blocked and nothing goes as planned. Be open to obstacles and accept them as learning experiences. Upon awakening, first meditate. Then pray. Meditation calms your heart and mind so they don’t get in the way of hearing and understanding what you need to be praying for.

Pray for intuitive thought, word and deed to the God of your understanding. Bring lots of emotion into your prayers, as if your life depended on it. Pray for Gods light (the God who lives in nature) to shine in and through you (seen or unseen) and that it light up others just by you being near to them. If you can, pray a single word for protection. “LIGHT” and imagine a field of light surrounding you like a tube and filling you up, let it flow outward, as it is a constant.. You can move freely and know that you are protected and loved. Just be – there is no need to talk about this, just show up where you are needed. As dad said, as long as you are of service you are on the right path. He also told me that there was not hope if I did not get counseling. This may be important for you, too.

Go for a morning walk every day. Observe the trees, the wind, the sun, the moon and the rain. Really pay attention to nature. She is watching and measuring us every step of the way. Pay attention to what animals or birds show up during your walk and look up the spiritual meaning. When you are walking, if you see trash, pick it up. Bring a bag with you when you head outside. It’s the little things that count. They all add up.

Listen to the Native Americans, they are very wise. They know that when we align with nature, she provides. The women lead/provide counsel in their culture.

STOP WATCHING THE NEWS! We cannot control the world, only our immediate surroundings and our reaction to situations around us. Do not give energy to the news. Do not pay attention, especially if you are sensitive. Anxiety does not serve us or the planet.

At the beginning of your meditation, set intentions for PEACE, lovingkindness and joy. Repeat this mantra several times before settling into your breath. Even a 3 minute meditation is helpful if you are crunched for time.

Watch the numbers around you to see if you are on the correct path. Ask for intuitive thought in this to see if it makes sense. Sometimes it does not make sense. We are imperfect and the science is not exact, but pay attention. You will know if you are in alignment with God’s will if your day goes smoothly and flows.

The God of my understanding knows me inside and out and knows every thought and deed I’ve had and done since birth and still loves me. I ask for forgiveness every morning and ask for his care and protection and to align my thinking so I can be of better service to others. If you can’t afford an animal, get a fish, some kind of connection to nature. A plant. Be wierd – talk to plants and animals and thank them for for their friendship and oxygen. Thank them for their guidance. Hug trees. Become friends with your favorite tree in the neighborhood.

I’m keeping it simple for everyone. Don’t get hooked up on the details. There is a divine order to the universe and we need to align ourselves with it. It begins with nature and the earth we’ve been given to live on.

Please take the book of Revelations with a grain of salt, as the saying goes. It was written by “John the Elder” and is assumed to be the Apostle John. He was living in a cave on the volcanic island, the Island of Patmos. Volcanic vents contain a combination of water, carbon dioxide and sulfer dioxide. This type of air can cause hallucinations and visions from a lack of oxygen. (sulfer is associated with demons), I do not trust the book of Revelations, it is not accurate, it was brought on by a psychosis. The God of my understanding is in the pure air that we breath that comes from plants and trees. God is breath.

Cook your own meals! Cook it with love and it will be more nutritious naturally. Thank God a simple thank you for this food that nourishes my body before you take your firsts bite.

Bring food to the homeless. You will be called to do this in some fashion. Keep water and non-perishables in your car.

If a song is playing in your head when you awake in the morning, look up the lyrics, there could be meaning there. Or it could be nothing. Again, the science isn’t exact. Nature tries to communicate and music is a universal language. Listen to the lyrics of Fantasy by Earth, Wind and Fire, for example.

It’s not about having what you want, it’s about being grateful for what you have. – Sheryl Crow.

Ask God, your guardian angels, guides, ancestors for their presence, protection and intuitive thought word and deed.

I promise things will get better. For now, just focus on your immediate surroundings, your family, your friends. Do your part.

We will get through this. Be patient with everyone else until we get it correct. If you’re looking for how this works, observe the life of Jimmy Carter. A humble man of service.

My message may fall on deaf ears, but I pray that it be heard around the world. A message I am compelled to write – a public service announcement.

Prophesy/Schmophesy-Communication

There is a reason I am empathic.  There is a reason I can communicate in written and oral forms.  From parents who took transcription (from oral to written format) and technical writing (of owner’s manuals for complicated equipment).  I can only translate my experiences – of what I see, hear and feel.  And lend my thoughts for a better way, as I see it.  As it occurs for me.  Sometimes wacky and meaningless, but sometimes profound and inspired.  Only human.  Imperfect.

When we look back on our lives and how we have arrived at our present circumstance, sometimes there is clarity.  Sometimes only hurt, resentment and confusion.  When we look at our part in our present circumstance, the latter feelings seem to pass away.  I am forced to look at my belief systems when I do this.  I must embrace and reject my Christian heritage. For personal reasons.  I am bound to embrace all religions and yet not lend my energy or commitment to any one sect or denomination of any religion, group or organization.  This is only important as it applies to me.

What I am present to, is that we have to look at who we are, what we believe in and focus on that with all of our being.  With all of our hearts.  With all of our minds.  With our bodies.

On the other hand, our beliefs don’t have to be inflicted on anyone else.  This is an immensely personal thing.  Regardless of what any one prophet or prophesy may have said.

We have the ability to change the future and shape the present.  But we cannot change the past.  We can only learn from the past and move forward with our lessons.

Be at peace with who you are, try and learn from your mistakes and stand up for justice.  Peacefully and with great care and compassion.

As I write these words, I am clear that I did not set out to write them.  Make your own interpretation of this and what it may imply, since I do not understand it.  I just know I am an interpretor of what I see, hear and feel.

Dragons

A lot of myths surround dragons.  Perhaps the greatest lesson is not to fear them.  They represent strength, individuality, and have the ability to fly.  They are able to get from point A to point B with no assistance.  Some dragons are purple, blue or red.  Some dragons are green or yellow.  Give no meaning or strength to the color of the dragon, they only represent us, at our finest.  Wings out , living our dreams, free. Be careful what you believe in, make it count.  Make it meaningful.

Meandering Thoughts

Sometimes the best education comes from taking the time to digest the day’s events in the evening.  A quiet room, no electronics on, maybe with your favorite pet on your lap.  Just quietly thinking.  Likely, you will reflect on what people have said, how you identified and responded to people, animals, the environment.  Looking back at our day gives us a barometer we can use to look at ourselves and learn and grow.  Peaceful and easy.

If your thoughts are too fast to think, take pen and paper out and write them down.  Writing forces you to physically connect with the words, slowing your thoughts with the action of writing.  Quiet time.  No music, no ambient noise.  Silence, then thinking or writing.

This is not rocket science.  It’s easy.  Don’t worry about phonetics, punctuation.  It doesn’t matter.  Your thoughts don’t need words.  Sometimes your thoughts are pictures and emotions.  Go ahead and feel them again.  Don’t be afraid of this.  Once you move through it, it flows over you like  water, and washes away.  Not scary. Simple.

These are only my thoughts.  They wander a bit.  But I believe the above process can heal us all.
